Srinagar, Jan 14 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the Class 10th annual regular examination, registering an overall pass percentage of 85.03.
As per official figures available with news agency JKNS, a total of 94,845 students appeared in the examination, out of which 80,650 candidates have been declared successful.
An official from JKBOSE said that the pass percentage achieved this year is the highest recorded in the past few years, marking a notable improvement in academic performance.
“Last year, the pass percentage for the Class 10th examination stood at around 79 percent,” the official said, adding that in 2023 the figure was close to 80 percent.
He further said that during the previous academic session, around 1,45,671 students had appeared in the Class 10th examination, with 1,16,453 students qualifying.
The official said the improved results reflect better preparation, sustained academic efforts and effective evaluation processes. (JKNS)
