Srinagar, Jan 15 (JKNS): A police personnel died of a suspected cardiac arrest at the Police Control Room (PCR) Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the cop, posted with the 6th IR Battalion and presently stationed at PCR Srinagar, was found unconscious in his room.
He was immediately rushed to the PCR hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Preliminary assessment suggests cardiac arrest as the cause of death, the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Barri, son of Biru Gujjar, a resident of Doda district. His body has been kept at the PCR mortuary for medico-legal formalities. (JKNS)
