Kupwara, Jan 16 (JKNS): The Indian Army’s Winter Tuition Initiative has yielded remarkable results in the remote border villages of the Keran Bowl, with students appearing in the JKBOSE Class 10th and 12th examinations (2025–26) achieving an impressive 90 percent overall success rate.
The students from Class 10th of Government Boys High School Kundian and Government Boys High School Mandian, and Class 12th of Government Higher Secondary School Keran, benefited from the initiative, marking a historic academic achievement for the region.
The winter tuition programme was conducted during the harsh winter months when routine academic activities remain severely disrupted due to extreme weather conditions and geographical isolation. Despite these challenges, the initiative ensured continuity in education and provided focused academic support to the students.
Through consistent guidance and dedicated mentoring by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion deployed in the Keran sector, students were able to remain engaged with their studies, ultimately translating their efforts into outstanding examination results.
The local population expressed immense happiness and satisfaction over the achievement, stating that their children benefitted greatly from the winter tuition classes.
Parents and community elders said the initiative not only enhanced academic performance but also instilled discipline, confidence, and renewed hope among the youth.
Residents of the Keran Bowl extended heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for its unwavering commitment towards the educational upliftment of children in this far-flung border area.
The exceptional performance in both Class 10th and Class 12th examinations has brought a wave of joy across the region. The success once again highlights that the role of the Indian Army extends well beyond border security.
By promoting education and empowering the younger generation, the Army continues to build trust, inspire progress, and shape a brighter future for communities living in some of the most challenging regions of the country. (JKNS)
