Sopore, Jan 18 (JKNS): In a remarkable achievement against all odds, Irshad Hussain Kissana, son of Mohd Sadeeq Kissana of Rajpora area in the Sopore hills, has successfully cleared his Class 10 board examination, becoming the first from his Gujjar family to achieve this milestone.
A student of Boys Higher Secondary School Rampora, Irshad secured 263 marks and attributed his success to the unwavering support and guidance of his teachers, who stood by him through numerous challenges.
Hailing from a remote area lacking basic facilities such as regular electricity and proper road connectivity, Irshad had to walk several kilometres daily through a forest route to attend school.
“My teachers are my real heroes, especially Akbar Sir who teaches English. They believed in me when circumstances were against me,” Irshad told JKNS.
Despite hardships, the young achiever nurtures a strong dream of joining the Indian Army to serve the nation, drawing inspiration from his struggles and determination. (JKNS)
