Beerwah, Jan 19 (JKNS): MLA Beerwah, Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani, on Monday chaired a review meeting with the Power Development Department (PDD) to assess the functioning of the department and address public grievances related to power supply.
The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer / In-charge Executive Engineer PDD Budgam, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PDD Sub-Division Beerwah, AEE PDD Sub-Division Narbal, AEE STD, and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, the MLA highlighted serious public grievances regarding frequent power disconnections and the issuance of excessively high electricity bills, which are causing immense hardship to the people. He directed the concerned officers to take these issues on priority, ensure transparency in billing, and provide relief to affected consumers.
Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani emphasized the need for a people-friendly approach and instructed the officials to resolve all pending complaints at the earliest to restore public confidence and improve service delivery. (JKNS)
