Kupwara:The annual educational, religious and oratory programme was held with great devotion, discipline and enthusiasm at Madrasa Madinatul Uloom, Nawagabra Karnah, functioning under the aegis of Anjuman Islahul Nisan. The event was attended by religious scholars, Muftis, local dignitaries and a large gathering of people from the Karnah Valley.
At present, around 125 students are enrolled in the madrasa, while nearly 60 students actively participated in various educational and religious competitions during the programme. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by Naat-e-Shareef, speeches and other competitive activities, which were warmly appreciated by the audience.
The students demonstrated commendable performance, reflecting sound religious understanding, clear pronunciation and strong moral training. A panel of judges evaluated the performances and prizes along with certificates were distributed among the meritorious students to encourage excellence in education and religious learning.
Speaking on the occasion, the scholars highlighted the educational and religious contributions of Madrasa Madinatul Uloom and stated that the institution has been playing an important role in promoting Islamic education in the Karnah Valley since 2004. The madrasa provides education in Ilmiyat, Nazra Qur’an, Hifz, Qira’at and Tajweed.
The people of the Karnah Valley expressed satisfaction and happiness over the dedicated efforts of the teachers, acknowledging their sincerity, hard work and zeal in imparting religious, moral and academic education to the students. Locals observed that the positive impact of the madrasa’s efforts is clearly visible across the region.
The leadership and services of the head of the institution, Maulana Altaf Hussain Qasmi, were also appreciated for his commitment to maintaining quality education and discipline. The programme concluded with special prayers for the progress of the institution, peace in the region and the overall welfare of society.
