Jammu, Jan 22 (JKNS): Ten Indian Army personnel lost their lives after succumbing to injuries sustained in a tragic road accident in Doda district on Thursday, casting a pall of gloom across Jammu and Kashmir.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed profound grief over the loss of the brave soldiers, terming the incident deeply heartbreaking.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, the Lieutenant Governor said he was “deeply saddened” by the untimely demise of ten Army personnel and acknowledged their exemplary service and supreme sacrifice to the nation.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved families. In this hour of immense grief, the entire nation stands firmly with them in solidarity and support,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor further said that ten injured soldiers were airlifted to hospitals for specialised treatment. He added that senior officials have been directed to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured and prayed for their early recovery.—(JKNS)
