Srinagar, Jan 23 (JKNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday held an extensive pre-Budget meeting with stakeholders from the Kashmir Division to gather inputs for preparing a people-oriented Budget.
As per a post shared by the Office of the Chief Minister on X, accessed by news agency JKNS, the consultation brought together representatives from key sectors including industry, trade, tourism, hospitality, horticulture, agriculture and academia.
During the interaction, participants shared their suggestions, expectations and sector-specific issues, aimed at ensuring that the forthcoming Budget addresses public priorities and developmental needs. The Chief Minister underscored the significance of wide-ranging consultations in shaping policies that reflect ground realities.
The meeting forms part of a broader consultative exercise being undertaken across Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen inclusive growth, boost employment opportunities and promote sustainable economic development in the Union Territory. (JKNS)
