Sopore, Jan 26 (JKNS): The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour today at Khushal Sports Stadium, Sopore, where a large number of people gathered to witness the celebrations.
ADC Sopore Shri Shabir Raina, JKAS, unfurled the National Tricolour and took the salute during the parade.
The event was attended by SSP Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib, JKPS, Additional SP Sopore, SDPOs, DySPs (Operations), senior officers from the CRPF, Indian Army, and officials of the civil administration, along with prominent citizens and members of the public.
The march past was presented by contingents of Sopore Police, CRPF, Home Guards, and students from various educational institutions of Police District Sopore, reflecting discipline, coordination, and national pride.
Adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations, children from different schools presented cultural programmes based on patriotic themes, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
The Republic Day celebrations were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, reflecting effective coordination among all departments and reaffirming the collective commitment to the Constitution of India, unity, and national integrity. (JKNS)
