Srinagar, Jan 28 (JKNS): Two tourists, one from Maharashtra and another from Uttar Pradesh, were found dead in separate incidents in Srinagar, officials said on Wednesday.
An official told news agency JKNS that, Rajesh Ramchandar Mahindrakar, son of Ramchandar Mahindrakar from Maharashtra, was found dead in a room at a hotel in Hyderpora, Srinagar.
He was initially referred to JVC Hospital, Bemina, and later shifted to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment, where the attending medical team declared him brought dead.
In a separate incident, Taranjit Singh (41), son of Pushvandar Singh from Uttar Pradesh, was found unconscious inside a hotel room near Dal Lake, Srinagar, late Tuesday night.
He was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Medico-legal formalities have been completed, and the cause of both deaths is being investigated.
Authorities have registered a case, and a detailed investigation into the circumstances of leading to both deaths is underway. —(JKNS)
