BJP leader highlights Union Budget priorities at Pulwama presser
Pulwama, Feb 7 (JKNS): Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board and BJP National Executive Member Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Saturday said that the upcoming financial year would provide a meaningful and decisive direction to the Indian economy, as she addressed a press conference on the Union Budget in Pulwama.
In a press briefing as per news agency JKNS, Dr Andrabi outlined the major highlights of the Union Budget, describing it as historic and growth-oriented.
She was accompanied by BJP District President Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi, State General Secretary Kisan Morcha Arshad Bhat, District Vice President Avtar Singh, senior leader Mohammad Lateef and other party leaders.
Addressing media persons, Dr Andrabi said the budget is aimed at infusing fresh vibrancy into the Indian economy and strengthening the country’s global economic standing. “Innovation and skill development will earn a much stronger position for India on the global landscape. This budget will strengthen businesses and establish India as a key influencer in world economic affairs,” she said.
She said the budget gives special emphasis to futuristic and innovation-driven missions including the AI Mission, Bio-Pharma Shakti Mission, National Semiconductor Mission, MSME Growth Fund, Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme, Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage, lithium cell manufacturing, nuclear power projects and high-speed rail corridors.
“These initiatives will act as game changers for the Indian economy. The budget stresses long-term, result-oriented programmes that will help India emerge as a global leader,” Dr Andrabi added.
Highlighting its wide sectoral coverage, she said the budget addresses innovation, infrastructure development, healthcare, education, research, textiles and agriculture. “This fiscal document reflects revolutionary changes and visionary decisions that will further accelerate sustainable growth and stable development,” she said.
The Waqf Board Chairperson also welcomed the continuation of free ration for economically weaker sections, tax reforms, a boost to AYUSH, strengthening of the rural economy, promotion of indigenous health and wellness sectors, and employment generation initiatives.
“This budget carries strong positivity and will complement India’s expanding global trade engagements under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” she added. (JKNS)
