Pattan, Feb 08 (JKNS): The residents of Goom Ahmadpora Mohalla, Aligarh on Sunday evening organized a peaceful candlelight march to condemn the killing of members of the Shia community in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The march started from the inner link road of Goom Ahmadpora and witnessed the participation of around 100–120 people, including elders and youth. Holding candles, the participants expressed deep grief and solidarity with the bereaved families and raised slogans against terrorism, violence, and lawlessness.
Carrying placards and banners, the protesters strongly denounced the targeted killings and called for peace, unity, and protection of innocent lives. They urged the international community to take strict action against those responsible for such inhumane acts.
The candlelight protest concluded peacefully without any untoward incident. (JKNS)
