Srinagar, Feb 12 (JKNS): A six-year-old boy lost his life while his elder brother sustained critical injuries after wooden logs reportedly fell on them in the Shaltang-Parimpora area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the incident occurred when the two children were playing near a stack of wooden logs and were suddenly trapped beneath them.
Both were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared the younger child dead on arrival, while his 10-year-old brother is undergoing treatment and is stated to be in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as Arhaan Imran (6), while the injured boy is Huzaif Imran (10). They are sons of M. Imran, a resident of Boat Colony, Bemina.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
