Kupwara, Feb 14 (JKNS): The people of Karnah on Saturday observed Pulwama Day as Black Day, paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack.
The day was marked by large solidarity marches and remembrance gatherings across the subdivision.
Two major rallies were organized one in Main Tangdar and the other in Teetwal under the banner of Azmat-e-Hind. The marches witnessed overwhelming participation from school children, youth, civil society members, traders, and ex-servicemen.
Participants carried placards condemning terrorism and expressing unwavering support for the armed forces. Many wore black ribbons as a symbol of mourning and respect for the fallen heroes. Patriotic slogans echoed through the streets, reflecting unity and a strong sense of national spirit.
Ex-servicemen present at the rallies shared heartfelt messages, highlighting the supreme sacrifices made by the brave soldiers and urging the younger generation to uphold the values of discipline, unity, and patriotism.
Special prayers were offered for the martyrs, and speakers emphasized the importance of peace, harmony, and standing firmly against terrorism. The events concluded with a collective pledge to safeguard the unity and integrity of the nation.
