Srinagar, Feb 19 (JKNS): Prominent Sikh youth leader Amanjeet Singh extended warm greetings to the Muslim community worldwide on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, with a special appeal for peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued here, Singh emphasized the universal values of compassion, sacrifice, and self-reflection that define the holy month. Drawing parallels between Sikh and Islamic traditions, he highlighted the shared commitment to service and empathy for the marginalized.

“The month of Ramadan serves as a profound reminder of the virtues of discipline and devotion—principles that resonate deeply within the Sikh faith,” the statement read. “I stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe as they observe this sacred period.”

Singh directed a heartfelt message to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, urging for unity and tranquility in the region. “My thoughts are particularly with the people of Jammu and Kashmir observing this holy month. May the blessings of Ramadan bring lasting peace, prosperity, and harmony to the Valley and its diverse communities.”

Amanjeet further wished that the spirit of the month fosters mutual respect and brotherhood among all sections of society. “May the prayers of the faithful be answered, and may the coming days herald an era of unity and blessings for all. Ramadan Mubarak.” (JKNS)
