Jammu, Feb 20 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday placed Mr. Balbir Kumar, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora, under suspension with immediate effect pending enquiry into his conduct.
According to Government Order No. 79-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated 20.02.2026, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS stated that, Pending enquiry into his conduct, Mr. Balbir Kumar, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, is hereby placed under suspension.
The order further reads that, suspension will follow with immediate effect in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956. During the period of his suspension, he shall remain attached in the office of Directorate of School Education, Kashmir. (JKNS)
