132 Bn CRPF Srinagar Bags National ‘First Prize’ in Official Language Award; Amit Shah Presents Trophy in Agartala

Srinagar, Feb 21 (JKNS): In a significant national recognition, 132 Battalion CRPF Srinagar has secured the First Prize under Region ‘C’ in the Regional Official Language Award 2024-25, conferred by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The battalion was adjudged the best in Category ‘C’ at the all-India level for its exemplary performance in the progressive use of Hindi in official work and effective implementation of the Official Language Policy.

The prestigious Official Language Trophy and Certificate were presented to Shri W. R. Josuah, Commandant, 132 Bn CRPF, by Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, during a grand समारोह held at the International Indoor Stadium, Agartala, Tripura, on February 20, 2026.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Vandi Sanjay Kumar, Chief Minister of Tripura Shri Manik Saha, along with other State Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, senior dignitaries from Central and State Governments/Union Territories, senior CRPF officers and representatives of various government departments and public sector undertakings were present on the occasion.

The award underscores the sustained commitment and dedicated efforts of 132 Battalion CRPF Srinagar in promoting the use of Hindi in official correspondence and administrative functioning, in accordance with statutory and constitutional provisions governing the Official Language Policy. (JKNS)
