Banihal, Feb 21 (JKNS): At least eight persons were injured after a passenger cab met with an accident at Sherbibi while travelling from Srinagar to Jammu on Saturday, officials said.
Official sources told news agency JKNS, The Ertiga cab bearing registration number JK01AW-4650 was carrying seven members of a family from Padshahbag, Srinagar and one passenger from Pulwama when it met with the mishap. Soon after the accident, the injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for immediate medical attention.
After being provided first aid, all the injured were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar for further treatment and specialised care.
Officials said the injured include women, children and elderly persons. Some sustained fractures, while others suffered minor lacerations. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway. (JKNS)
