Bandipora, Feb 21 (JKNS): Ramadan T20 Cricket Tournament was successfully organized at Shadipora Trigam by Mohammad Ashraf Mir, marking the beginning of an exciting sporting event in the area. The inaugural ceremony of the tournament was held today amid enthusiasm and participation from local cricket lovers.
A total of sixteen teams from different areas have registered and are participating in the tournament. The first match of the tournament was played today, drawing attention from a large number of spectators and sports enthusiasts.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the event, organizers and players appreciated the initiative to promote sports among youth during the holy month of Ramadan. However, they also raised serious concerns regarding the poor condition of the Tregam playground. They urged the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to renovate and upgrade the ground, which is currently in a deteriorated state.
The players highlighted that the damaged surface and lack of proper facilities are creating difficulties for local cricketers and affecting their performance. They appealed to the administration to improve the infrastructure so that young talent from the area can flourish and sporting activities can continue smoothly in the future.
The organizers expressed hope that the authorities will respond positively to their demand and ensure better sports facilities for the youth of Trigam. (JKNS)
