Srinagar, Feb 27 (JKNS): In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Jammu & Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an extensive and structured cadre training programme aimed at strengthening its organisational structure from the booth level to the national level.
Party sources told news agency JKNS that the initiative is being viewed as a strategic step towards long-term political preparedness, ideological clarity and systematic organisational consolidation across the Union Territory.
According to sources, selected party workers underwent specialised training programmes in Delhi and Chandigarh, where they received in-depth orientation on organisational structure, communication strategy and ideological foundations.
After successfully completing the advanced training modules, the participants were designated as “teachers” and entrusted with the responsibility of further training party workers at district, constituency and booth levels.
Sources revealed that the comprehensive curriculum covered 14 subjects, including the history and evolution of the BJP, the party’s ideological journey, media management and modern communication techniques.
The programme also included sessions on Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital engagement tools and social media strategy to equip workers with technical skills required in contemporary political outreach.
In addition, detailed modules were conducted on booth management, voter data handling, micro-level planning and strategies for systematic organisational expansion.
The training also focused on spreading awareness about various central government schemes so that party workers can effectively communicate policy benefits to the public at the grassroots level.
Party insiders stated that this structured approach will significantly boost internal coordination, discipline and accountability within the organisation.
They said the initiative is expected to strengthen booth-level functioning, which is considered the backbone of the party’s electoral machinery.
The sessions are designed to run for two to three consecutive days and are being conducted in phases to ensure maximum participation and effective knowledge transfer.
The recent training event was presided over by MLA and North Zone Programme Incharge Ajay Mahawar, along with BJP J&K General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, underscoring the importance of the initiative.
The organising team, led by Programme Incharge Mudasir Wani and Co-Incharge Advocate Sajid Yousuf Shah, coordinated the event and ensured its smooth execution under a disciplined framework.
Political observers believe that this structured and result-oriented training ecosystem may provide the BJP with a significant organisational advantage in the coming years by creating a technically skilled, ideologically aligned and well-prepared cadre base across Jammu & Kashmir. (JKNS)
