Pulwama, Mar 7 (JKNS): Director General of Police J&K Nalin Prabhat (IPS) on Saturday conducted a comprehensive review of the security scenario, counter-terror operations and overall policing measures in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
As per news agency JKNS, Prabhat conducted a detailed review of the security landscape, counter-terrorism operations and overall law & order situation in District Pulwama during a high-level meeting held today.
The meeting was attended by Special DG Coordination PHQ J&K S. J. M. Gillani-IPS, IGP Kashmir Zone V. K. Birdi-IPS and DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo-IPS.
The session was organised at District Police Office Pulwama and was attended by senior district officers including SSP Pulwama Tanushree-IPS and other supervisory officers.
During the meeting, the DGP assessed the prevailing security situation in the district with particular focus on the progress of counter-terror (CT) operations, including both kinetic and non-kinetic measures.
He also reviewed the overall law & order management and security preparedness across the district.
While interacting with the officers, the DGP underscored the importance of maintaining sustained pressure on anti-national elements and directed the officers to remain vigilant and ensure strict action against elements involved in unlawful activities.
He stressed the need for stronger intelligence gathering, close coordination among field units and proactive policing to effectively respond to emerging security challenges.
The DGP also appreciated the commitment and efforts of officers and personnel deployed in the district and encouraged all ranks to continue working with professionalism, vigilance and dedication to ensure peace, public safety and stability in Pulwama. (JKNS)
