Bandipora, Mar 16 (JKNS): Residents of Chan Mohalla Inderkoot in Bandipora district staged a protest on Monday demanding the construction of a playground in their area.

As per news agency JKNS, The protesting residents said that their locality earlier had a playground, but it was handed over for the construction of a Degree College in the larger public interest. However, they expressed disappointment that while playgrounds have been provided to other areas, their locality has been left without any such facility.

“We had a playground earlier, but we sacrificed it for the Degree College. Now other areas have been given playgrounds, but our children have been deprived of this basic facility,” the residents said.

They Requested the district administration to take immediate steps to allocate land for playground in Chan Mohalla Inderkoot so that the local children can also have a proper place to play and engage in sports activities.

The residents appealed to the authorities to address their genuine demand and ensure equal facilities for their area as well. (JKNS)
