Anantnag, Mar 17 (JKNS): A massive fire broke out in the Laripora area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, damaging three structures of a hotel, officials said.
Officials from Fire and Emergency Services told news agency JKNS that a team from Fire and Emergency Services Station Pahalgam rushed to the spot immediately after the incident was reported to douse the flames.
They said reinforcement teams from Fire Stations Sallar (Anantnag) and Ashmuqam were also pressed into service to assist in controlling the blaze.
Firefighting operations were underway till the filing of this report, while the cause of the fire was not immediately known. Further details are awaited. (JKNS)
