Tangmarg, Jammu and Kashmir(JKNS): In a focused outreach effort during Ramadan, the Commanding Officer of 6 DOGRA Battalion visited the revered Babareshi Shrine, strengthening ties with the local community and reinforcing mutual trust.
The officer paid obeisance at the shrine and offered a traditional chadar, respecting local customs and sentiments.
The visit highlighted the cultural and religious importance of the shrine and sent a clear message of peace, unity and harmony.
He interacted with the Maulvi and shrine management in a constructive meeting. Talks centered on maintaining peace, promoting brotherhood and improving cooperation between the Army and local residents. The interaction remained positive and forward looking.
As part of the initiative, the Battalion distributed essential ration items to support the shrine. It also donated 10 plastic chairs for the convenience of devotees, improving facilities for visitors.
The gesture received strong appreciation from shrine authorities and locals. Such efforts continue to build trust, reduce gaps and support long term stability in the region. The Battalion reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare and sustained peace.(JKNS)
