Baramulla, Mar 19 (JKNS): A solemn condolence and prayer gathering was held in memory of eminent journalist, intellectual, and founder of Rising Kashmir, Syed Shujaat Bukhari, at the revered shrine of Hazrat Syed Haji Mohammad Murad Bukhari (RA) in Kreeri area of Baramulla district.
The event witnessed participation from a wide spectrum of society, including political leaders, media fraternity members, civil society representatives, and local residents, who assembled to pay homage to the late journalist and remember his invaluable contributions.
Among those present on the occasion were MLA Wagoora Irfan Hafeez, Rising Kashmir Editor Hafiz Ayaz Gani, senior politician Suhail Bukhari, and his son Tamheed Bukhari, besides several other prominent figures.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted Dr. Bukhari’s legacy as a courageous and visionary journalist who upheld the principles of truth, dialogue, and peace. They noted that his work continues to inspire a generation of journalists and intellectuals across Jammu and Kashmir and beyond.
