Awantipora, Mar 24 (JKNS): Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs, Police in Awantipora achieved a major success by arresting one drug peddler and recovering contraband substances from his possession.
During naka checking at Khrew, a police party headed by SHO PS Khrew Inspector Naieem Rashid apprehended one person who was found roaming under suspicious circumstances.
The apprehended person has been identified as Shahid Bashir S/o Bashir Ahmad Wani R/o Seer Colony Khrew.
During his personal search 1.115 Kgms of Charas Powder like substance was recovered.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 24/2026 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Khrew.
