Over 160 Players Participate as Srinagar District Wushu Championship Concludes with Enthusiasm

Srinagar, Mar 25 (JKNS): The District Wushu Championship Srinagar concluded on a high note on Wednesday at the Indoor Sports Complex Srinagar, witnessing enthusiastic participation and showcasing remarkable sporting talent from across the district.

As per news agency JKNS, The closing ceremony of the District Wushu Championship Srinagar was held on 25th March at the Indoor Sports Complex Srinagar with great enthusiasm and participation.

The event concluded on a successful note in the presence of distinguished guests, players, and supporters.

More than 160 players participated in the championship, representing different schools, clubs, and academies from across the district.

Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Khan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Saadat Nasir Wani was also present as a special guest. Their presence greatly motivated the young athletes.

 

Among other dignitaries present were Joint Secretary Mr. Mohammed Maqsood Rather, along with senior players including Ajaz Hussain, Rameez Ahmad Dar, Irfan Ahmad Wani, Sohail Ahmed, Naveed Farooq, Kamran Mohammed, Wasif Farooq, Fardeen Khan, Sahil, and many others. Parents, teachers, and guests were also present in large numbers to support the participants.

 

During the ceremony, the Chief Guest praised the players for their hard work, discipline, and dedication towards the sport. He said that such championships play an important role in identifying young talent and providing them a platform to grow.

 

He further encouraged the players to stay focused, continue their training with commitment, and aim to represent the district and the country at higher levels.

In the overall results, Indoor Wushu Academy emerged as the overall winner, while Arise School secured the position of runner-up.

 

At the end, the Vote of Thanks was presented by Joint Secretary Mr. Mohammed Maqsood Rather, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, special guests, players, parents, teachers, and all those who contributed to making the championship a grand success.

 

The event concluded with a positive spirit, highlighting sportsmanship and unity among the youth. (JKNS)
