Srinagar, Mar 27 (JKNS): The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Fact Check unit has dismissed as fake certain reports circulating on social media and news platforms regarding an alleged Iran donation scam in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a post on X, MEA Fact Check, as per news agency JKNS, urged people to remain cautious against “false and baseless claims” being spread online. The post also carried screenshots of the viral reports, clearly marked as “FAKE,” to counter misinformation.
The fact-checking unit advised citizens to rely only on credible sources and avoid sharing unverified content, stating that such misleading information can create unnecessary panic and confusion among the public. (JKNS)
