New Delhi, Mar 29 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the world is witnessing continued conflict and uncertainty, urging citizens to remain united and avoid misinformation during challenging times.
Speaking in the 132nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, as per news agency JKNS, the Prime Minister said, “This month of March has been extremely eventful at the global level. We all remember that the world faced numerous problems for a long time due to COVID… however, in different regions, conditions of war and conflict have continued to emerge.”
Referring to the ongoing situation in India’s neighbourhood, he said, “Currently, a fierce war has been going on for the past one month in our neighbourhood… I am very grateful to the Gulf countries for providing all kinds of assistance to over one crore Indians there.”
Highlighting the impact on energy supplies, the Prime Minister said, “The region where the war is underway is a major hub of our energy needs, due to which a petrol and diesel crisis is developing worldwide. India is facing these challenges resolutely because of its global relations and capabilities built over the past decade.”
Calling for unity, he said, “These certainly are challenging times… we must unitedly overcome this challenge. Those who are politicizing even this issue should refrain from doing so.”
He further cautioned against misinformation, stating, “Those who are spreading rumours are causing major harm to the country. I would appeal to all citizens to remain vigilant and not be misled.”
The Prime Minister added, “Trust only the continuous information provided by the government… I am confident that just as we have overcome past crises, this time too we will emerge victorious.” (JKNS)
