Srinagar, Apr 6 (JKNS): The Jammu Srinagar National Highway continued to remain closed on Monday afternoon as restoration work between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote is underway amid challenging conditions, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that intermittent shooting stones and fresh rainfall in the Ramban sector have hampered clearance operations.
He said several vehicles are currently stranded between Udhampur and Banihal, while there is no possibility of traffic movement being allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa today.
Commuters have been advised to avoid travel on the highway until it is fully restored. (JKNS)
