World Health Day Celebrated at Syed Ali Memorial College of Nursing and Medical Sciences, Beerwah

Budgam, Apr 8 (JKNS): World Health Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Syed Ali Memorial (SAM) College of Nursing and Medical Sciences, Beerwah.

The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

On the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. Murtaza Bukhari, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of health in daily life. He pointed out various issues affecting public health and stressed the need for awareness, preventive measures, and the vital role of medical professionals in building a healthier society.

 

The Principal and senior faculty members of the college also spoke on the occasion, emphasizing the significance of World Health Day and encouraging students to play an active role in promoting community health and well-being.

 

One of the major highlights of the program was the display of creative models presented by students from different semesters. Through these models, students effectively conveyed important messages related to hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles. The presentations were widely appreciated for their innovation and social relevance.

 

In addition, awareness sessions and academic discussions were organized, focusing on the promotion of evidence-based medical practices. Participants were encouraged to rely on scientific guidance, support innovation in the healthcare sector, and adopt healthy habits in their daily lives.
