Kupwara, Apr 11 (JKNS): In a powerful reflection of collective will and transformation, the people of Kunan Poshpura came together today for a mega rally that highlighted the village’s ongoing journey of reformation and determination.
The event, attended by senior civil administration officials including the District Commissioner Kupwara, SSP Kupwara, DFO Kupwara, and other dignitaries, stood as a testament to a community resolute in shaping its own future.
At the heart of the rally was not just participation, but purpose. The launch of an ambitious plantation drive of 3 lakh trees symbolized the community’s commitment to rebuilding its environment and securing a greener tomorrow.
Equally significant was the distribution of 10 Pico machines to Women Empowerment Centres, enabling local women to strengthen their livelihoods through the production of National Flags under the Flag Women of Kupwara (FLOWK) initiative an embodiment of self-reliance and pride.
The focus on social reform was further reinforced through the distribution of 10 sanitary pad dispensing machines across schools and institutions, reflecting a growing awareness and determination to address women’s health and dignity.
In a unified voice against societal challenges, all present took an Anti-Drug Oath under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” campaign, underlining the community’s resolve to build a healthier and drug-free future.
What truly defined the event was the spirit of Kunan Poshpura itself. School children, women, and men participated in large numbers, not merely as attendees but as active contributors to change.
