Sopore, Apr 11 (JKNS): As part of the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Sopore Police organised a series of outreach and awareness programmes across all Police Stations of Police District Sopore, aimed at mobilising community participation in the fight against drug abuse.
The programmes witnessed the active participation of religious leaders, political representatives, civil society members, social activists, influencers, volunteers and school administrators, who were sensitised about the growing threat of drug abuse and the need for a coordinated response.
During these interactions, stakeholders were urged to play a proactive role in spreading awareness, guiding youth towards positive activities and strengthening community resistance against the drug menace. Emphasis was laid on collective responsibility and the importance of transforming this initiative into a mass movement at the grassroots level.
Sopore Police highlighted that the next 100 days will focus on intensified awareness drives, youth engagement, community participation and strict enforcement to curb the spread of narcotics and protect the future of the younger generation.
Reaffirming its commitment, Sopore Police appealed to all sections of society to come forward and actively contribute towards building a Drug-Free Sopore, in line with the broader vision of a Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir. (JKNS)
