Srinagar, Apr 22 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, remembering the innocent lives lost in the incident and reaffirming India’s united stand against terrorism.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Prime Minister Modi said, “Remembering the innocent lives lost in the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack on this day last year. They will never be forgotten. My thoughts are also with the bereaved families as they cope with this loss.”
He further stated, “As a nation, we stand united in grief and resolve. India will never bow to any form of terror. The heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed.”
The statement comes on the first anniversary of the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Baisaran, Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted tourists, killing 26 people, including 25 tourists and one pony ride operator.
Following the attack, India carried out retaliatory strikes on terror launch pads across the border on May 7 under “Operation Sindoor,” which continued for three days. The operation was later followed by a ceasefire announcement on May 11 at 5 PM. (JKNS)
