Srinagar, Apr 22 (JKNS): Argentine Ambassador to India Mariano Caucino on Monday paid tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, expressing solidarity with India and condemning terrorism in all its forms on the first anniversary of the tragedy.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Ambassador Mariano said, “One year since the tragedy of the Pahalgam terror attack against India. On behalf of the Argentine Government and the Argentine people, we convey our tribute to those innocent lives lost on this day last year. They shall never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones — standing with India and condemning terror in all its forms.”
The statement comes on the first anniversary of the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Baisaran, Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted tourists, killing 26 people, including 25 tourists and one pony ride operator.
Following the attack, India carried out retaliatory strikes on terror launch pads across the border on May 7 under “Operation Sindoor,” which continued for three days. The operation was later followed by a ceasefire announcement on May 11 at 5 PM. (JKNS)
