Srinagar, Apr 22 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday paid tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, remembering the innocent lives lost and reaffirming India’s firm resolve to eradicate terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir stated, “Humble tributes to the innocent souls who lost their lives in the gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam on this day in 2025. Their memory endures indelibly in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with their families. We will not forget.”

It further stated, “We will not forgive. This is our solemn vow. India stands unified against terrorism. We pledge unwavering commitment and resolute determination to eradicate terrorism from the soil of Jammu Kashmir.”

The statement comes on the first anniversary of the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Baisaran, Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted tourists, killing 26 people, including 25 tourists and one pony ride operator.

Following the attack, India carried out retaliatory strikes on terror launch pads across the border on May 7 under “Operation Sindoor,” which continued for three days. The operation was later followed by a ceasefire announcement on May 11 at 5 PM. (JKNS)
