Shopian, May 4 (JKNS): A three-year-old girl drowned after accidentally slipping into a stream in the Zainapora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, officials said.

Reports reaching news agency JKNS, the minor, identified as, a resident of Rajouri presently staying at Chidipora Zainapora, slipped into the Reshi Ladi Nallah.

Soon after the incident, a search and rescue operation was launched by local authorities with the assistance of volunteers to trace the body.

Efforts were underway at the time of filing this report, officials said. (JKNS)
