Poonch, May 6 (JKNS): The fourth body was recovered on Wednesday from the site of a tragic accident along the Mughal Road, taking the death toll to four, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS, a vehicle carrying four persons had earlier plunged into a nallah near Chhattapani, following which all occupants went missing, prompting a large-scale search and rescue operation by District Police Poonch and other agencies.
During the operation, the vehicle was traced in the nallah and bodies of the occupants were recovered in phases. With the recovery of the fourth body, all missing persons have now been accounted for, officials said.
They added that identification of the deceased is being ascertained, while legal formalities are underway.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation is in progress. (JKNS)
