New Delhi, May 9 (JKNS): The Government of India has appointed Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan as the next Chief of the Naval Staff, the Ministry of Defence said on Friday.
As per news agency JKNS, the Ministry of Defence, in a post on X, said that Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, is currently serving as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C) of the Western Naval Command.
The Ministry stated that the Admiral brings nearly four decades of distinguished service and possesses extensive operational, strategic and personnel management experience across several key appointments in the Indian Navy.
He will succeed Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, who is scheduled to retire on May 31, 2026. (JKNS)
