Foundation World School, Illahi Bagh Hosts Cross Country Run at University of Kashmir

Srinagar May 10 (JKNS): Foundation World School, Illahi Bagh, successfully organised a Cross Country Run for students from UKG to Grade 3 on Saturday, at the picturesque campus of the University of Kashmir.

The event was designed to encourage physical fitness, endurance, discipline, and sportsmanship among young learners, while reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education and the overall development of every child.

The Cross Country Run witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who demonstrated exceptional energy, determination, and team spirit. Their spirited involvement reflected the school’s ongoing efforts to instill healthy habits and a positive attitude toward physical activity from an early age.

Distinguished Guests in Attendance: The event was graced by several eminent dignitaries from the University of Kashmir and local administration, including:
• Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar, University of Kashmir
• Prof. Pervez Ahmad, Dean, Students’ Welfare, University of Kashmir
• Dr. Shahid Ali Khan, Cultural Officer, University of Kashmir
• Mr. Ashiq Hussain, SDPO, Zakura
Their presence added prestige to the occasion and served as a source of motivation for the participating students.

Foundation World School Leadership Present at the Event: The programme was also attended by the leadership team of Foundation World School, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, Founder, Ms. Zia Nisar, Co-Founder, Mr. Faizan-ul-Islam, Chairman, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Koul, Vice Chairman, Mr. Junaid Kochak, Primary Head, Ms. Syed Asma Hamid, KG Head.

Chairman’s Remarks
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Mr. Faizan-ul-Islam expressed his delight at the enthusiastic participation of the students.

Mr. Faizan-ul-Islam also extended his sincere appreciation to the school’s Physical Education Department for conceptualising and executing the event with excellence.

He further commended the Ideation Team for meticulously managing the aesthetics and visual presentation of the event, and praised the entire school community including the leadership team, teachers, and support staff for their unwavering cooperation and seamless coordination.

Registrar’s Remarks
Registrar, University of Kashmir, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, lauded Foundation World School, Illahi Bagh for organising a thoughtfully designed event that introduced young learners to the spirit of fitness, discipline, and exploration.

“We appreciate Foundation World School, Illahi Bagh for taking this meaningful initiative to promote physical fitness and holistic development among its students. Prof. Iqbal also congratulated the participating students and commended the school leadership for creating enriching experiences beyond the classroom.
