Pulwama, May 11 (JKNS): Pulwama Police achieved another success in its ongoing drive against drug trafficking by apprehending a drug peddler during naka checking at Lassipora.
As per news agency JKNS, A police party of Police Station Litter laid a naka near Block Office Lassipora and intercepted a motorcyclist travelling from SIDCO Lassipora towards Lassipora Chowk for checking. The motorcycle bearing registration number JK22C-1351 was subjected to search during which approximately 204 grams of charas sticks-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, FIR No. 57/26 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Litter and further investigation has been taken up.
Pulwama Police remains committed towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the general public to cooperate with police by sharing any information related to drug peddling or other unlawful activities. (JKNS)
