Srinagar, May 12 (JKNS): Indian Army on Tuesday said that an infiltration bid was foiled along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district, where one intruder was neutralised by alert troops.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Indian Army’s White Knight Corps said that acting on persistent surveillance, suspicious movement was detected around 300 metres inside own territory in the general area of Krishna Ghati sector along the LoC at around 4 PM today.
The Army said alert troops swiftly responded and foiled the infiltration attempt, ensuring that there was no breach of the LoC. “One intruder has been neutralised,” the post stated.
The Army further said that troops continue to dominate the area and maintain a high state of operational readiness across the sector.
Earlier, as reported, the terrorist was part of a Lashkar group attempting infiltration when alert troops intercepted the movement. (JKNS)
