Srinagar, May 13 (JKNS): A teenage boy lost his life after accidentally coming under an MGNREGA signboard in Shistergam area of Doru in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS stated that the deceased has been identified as Aasif Hussain Rather a resident of Shistergam, aged 16 years.
They said the boy sustained critical injuries after the signboard reportedly fell on him. He was immediately shifted by locals to Sub-District Hospital Qazigund for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and further proceedings have been initiated. (JKNS)
