Three Residential Houses Damaged in Midnight Fire Incident at Trumgund Hygam Sopore

Sopore, May 14 (JKNS): A massive fire incident during the last intervening night caused extensive damage to three residential houses in the Trumgund Hygam area of Sopore, leaving several families affected and homeless.

According to reports as per news agency JKNS, the fire broke out late during the night hours and quickly spread to nearby residential structures.

Preliminary reports suggest that the blaze was caused by a suspected short circuit.

Following the incident, local residents, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and Fire and Emergency Services jointly launched rescue and firefighting operations to contain the flames and prevent further damage in the area.

Tehsildar Khoie, along with other civil officials, also visited the affected area and met the fire victim families to assess the losses caused by the incident.

The victims stated that all household belongings, valuables and essential items were completely destroyed in the devastating blaze.

The damaged houses belong to, Ab Khaliq Mir S/o Qadir Mir, Ab Ahad Sheikh S/o Mohd Subhan Sheikh, Mohd Ramzan Sheikh S/o Mohd Subhan Sheikh, Latief Ahmad Mir S/o Ab Khaliq Mir

Meanwhile, MLA Sangrama Irfan Hafeez Lone also visited Trumgund and expressed deep sympathy with the affected families.

He assured the victims that every possible assistance and support would be provided to help them recover from the losses. (JKNS)
