Several aspirants had approached courts seeking a transparent investigation and cancellation of the examination, alleging that the integrity of the highly competitive medical entrance test had been compromised.

The controversy sparked nationwide debate over examination security, transparency, and accountability, with students expressing anxiety after reports of alleged leaks surfaced soon after the examination.

NEET-UG is the national-level entrance examination for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses across India and is attended by lakhs of aspirants every year.

Meanwhile, the NTA has appealed to students not to believe rumours circulating on social media and to follow only official updates issued by the agency. (JKNS)
