Pulwama, May 18 (JKNS): Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Monday issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha-led mega Padyatra being organised in Pulwama town under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” on May 19.
According to the advisory issued by SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir as per news agency JKNS, vehicular movement from Wagum Circular Road Crossing to Banoora Crossing via Murran and Rajpora Chowks shall remain completely suspended from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM during the event.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel within Pulwama town during the rally and follow designated diversion routes for smooth movement of traffic.
As per the advisory, Shopian and Pulwama-bound traffic coming from Srinagar, Kakapora and Pampore shall be diverted through Peaks Crossing via Old Circular Road towards Shopian and Littar areas.
Similarly, vehicles travelling from Nowgam, Neva and Wanpora towards Shopian and Pulwama will be diverted via New Circular Road towards Murran-Kellar-Rajpora Road.
Srinagar-bound traffic from Shopian and Pulwama areas shall be diverted at Banoora Crossing through both Old and New Circular Roads towards Srinagar.
Traffic Police further stated that medical emergency vehicles heading towards District Hospital Pulwama will be allowed movement only through Murran Chowk.
The advisory has been issued in public interest for information and compliance, officials said. (JKNS)
