Kupwara, May 19 (JKNS): Kupwara Police on Tuesday said an FIR has been registered in connection with an alleged religious conversion case reported in the district, while investigation into the matter has been initiated.
In a statement, as per news agency JKNS police said, “A Case relating to alleged religious conversion has been reported in Kupwara.”
Cognizance of the matter has been taken and an FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered. Investigation has been set into motion,” police said.
People are requested not to pay heed to rumours or circulate unverified information, police said. (JKNS)
