Bandipora, May 20 (JKNS): A Security on Wednesday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in the forest area of Sahgund in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that acting on a specific input, a joint operation was launched by 45 Battalion CRPF, QAT-45, SOG Hajin, SOG Sumbal and 13 Rashtriya Rifles in Sahgund forest area.
During the search operation, the joint team recovered one Chinese grenade, two UBGL rounds, 60 rounds of AK-series ammunition and two AK magazines.
They said that the recovered arms and ammunition were seized on the spot, while further investigation into the matter has been taken up. (JKNS)
