Srinagar, May 25 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday visited the revered Hazratbal Shrine to review arrangements ahead of the upcoming religious occasion and said the administration has made all possible efforts to ensure smooth facilities for devotees.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his visit, as per news agency JKNS, Lieutenant Governor Sinha said the administration and coordinators have worked collectively to make proper arrangements so that people can celebrate the festival peacefully and happily in an atmosphere of brotherhood.
“I had come here to see the arrangements so that people can celebrate the festival of brotherhood happily. The administration has tried to make the best arrangements,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He further appreciated the role played by religious leaders in promoting social harmony and supporting the ongoing “Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan.”
The Lieutenant Governor said participation of religious scholars and community leaders in the anti-drug campaign is a positive step towards building a peaceful and aware society.
During his visit, Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Darakshan Andrabi welcomed the Lieutenant Governor at the shrine. (JKNS)
