“Eid Prayers Held Smoothly Across J&K With Full Facilities”: Dr Darakhshan Andrabi

Srinagar, May 27 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Darakhshan Andrabi on Wednesday said Eid-ul-Adha prayers across shrines and mosques in Jammu and Kashmir were conducted peacefully with complete facilities and coordinated arrangements for worshippers.

 

The Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi offered Eid Nimaz at Dargah Hazratbal where the largest prayer congregation of J&K was held.

 

After the prayers Andrabi met people and enquired about the facilities made available by the Waqf Board in coordination with many departments involved in preparations.

 

Later Waqf Chairperson spoke to media and said that she was encouraged by the positive reactions of the people regarding the facilities put in place here and at all other shrines and mosques under Waqf Board control. She said that the feedback from whole of J&K was thrilling for us as a team.

 

“Eid prayer congregations at all shrines & mosques held amid complete facilities throughout J&K. Special sermons against drug menace were made all over the UT”, said Dr Syed Darakhshan.

 

She mentioned about the release of salaries, pensions of this month in advance by Waqf Board in view of Eid festival. “While we are acting hard on our staff for making required facilities available to the people, we take all bold steps to ensure employees welfare also”, said the Chairperson.
